NAS Jax Air Show - 2014.....
The air show is simply amazing... The Blue Angels are spectacular. All I can say is that you won't be disappointed!

The Blue Angels... I think this was my favorite shot of the day. I caught it just in time before the jet in the front left from the pack.

This was wayyyyyyy up high!

A very impressive group of pilots!

I love how you can see the numbers on each of their jets through the little space.

I'm still in disbelief that I actually caught this shot! When I first went through my pictures, I didn't notice there were two jets, the second time I went through them, I saw the 5 and 6….sweeeeet! Ugh…that boring sky though!

This team of pilots are super impressive…. If for some reason you have never seen the air show in person, I encourage you to do so… you will not be disappointed! I find it absolutely amazing how close they can fly to each other!

The 4 jets came together… in a Sci-Fi way, it looks like 1 aircraft. Supposedly, if I heard the announcer correctly… The top 3 pilots are looking 90 degrees at pilot 1 who is looking straight. I have said it, but I will say it again… their precision is simply amazing! That's A LOT of trust right there!!!

Fat Albert is pretty amazing!

The pilot is Gene Soucy flying the Showcat. The Wing Walker is Teresa Stokes. I was impressed….. for many reasons. But all I kept thinking as I watched her was "I won't even ride a roller coaster!"

Another pic by my 9 year old daughter - No cropping done, this is how she framed it up.

Could you go fix the plane?? Ummmm, I can't even imagine! I was awestruck when I saw this! This is "inside" a P-8 Poseidon, I believe. I found all that lime green to be interesting so I did something special for it.

Another great abstract from my daughter Kristen! This is the ceiling of the C-17 at the Air Show. This is an absolute favorite of mine. I just love her eye… This is why through all of my teaching her photography, I don't tell her how to compose a picture, she has a natural instinct!

My 9 year old daughter Kristen took this at the Air Show… she had my Nikon D5100 for the day… Over the summer, we had a few conversations about seeing abstracts in every day things… She has an amazing eye for these things…!!! I just went through her pics last night and was pleasantly surprised…

One of the four engines of the C-17… I remarked to my husband that it looked like a giant camera lens. His response was that "only you would see something like that!" BUT….not according to what I've seen on Flickr lately…apparently there are many photographers that see it the same way!

This is a must when you go to an airshow. Its also funny to watch the people passing by, wondering what you're taking a picture of! Of course, the plane is so shiny and reflective and the sun was so bright…I was nearly blinded by the whole thing
